WordPress plugin by Decomp

Turn your WordPress content into an interactive concept graph.

Decomp Concept Graph builds a navigable, graph-based knowledge portal from your posts — with a D3.js viewer, search, categories, levels and bidirectional relationships.

Works with Polylang & WPML D3.js bundled locally GPLv2

What it does

A knowledge portal, built from content you already have

Three things your readers get the moment you activate the plugin.

Visual navigation

An interactive D3.js graph lets readers explore how your topics connect, instead of clicking through flat menus.

Structured by design

A dedicated content type with hierarchical categories, proficiency levels and links between entries keeps your library organised.

Findable everywhere

Global search, a category menu and article feeds surface the right entry fast — wired into your posts with widgets and blocks.

Hub Dashboard: search bar, category menu, interactive concept graph and Latest/Featured feeds
Hub Dashboard — search, category menu, interactive graph and live feeds.
A Hub entry with the floating concept-graph window open, showing groups, depth and zoom controls
Per-entry widgets with the floating concept-graph window (groups, depth, zoom).
Features

Everything you need to map and present knowledge

The core experience is free and complete — no account, no time limit.

D3.js graph viewer & search

An interactive graph with global search, a category menu and article feeds — so visitors explore by connection, not just by list.

Hierarchical categories & levels

A dedicated “Hub Entries” content type with hierarchical categories and proficiency levels to structure your whole library.

Bidirectional relationships

Check related entries in the relationships metabox and the link is created in both directions automatically.

Article widgets & floating graph

Breadcrumbs, table of contents, related articles and a floating graph window centered on the current node — right inside your posts.

Multilingual, automatically

Automatic integration with Polylang and WPML — the graph and texts follow the active language; monolingual when neither is active.

Tabbed admin & Markdown

A tabbed admin panel (Welcome, Hub, Metrics, Sync/Examples, Support) with Markdown import and export to move content in and out.

Custom content type

Hub Entries are first-class WordPress content — editable, queryable and SEO-friendly, not locked away in a separate system.

Blocks & shortcodes

Drop the full Dashboard or article widgets anywhere with Gutenberg blocks and the [dcgraph_portal_dashboard] shortcode.

Blocks & shortcodes

Place the graph exactly where you want it

Two Gutenberg blocks and two shortcodes ship free. PRO adds four individual blocks you can combine on one page.

Gutenberg blocks

Free blocks to embed the portal in any page or post.

Free Hub Dashboard Free Hub Entries Pro Hub Search Pro Hub Selector Pro Hub Graph Pro Hub Viewer
PRO: the four individual blocks — Search, Selector, Graph and Viewer — can be combined on a single page and wired to each other so they act as one connected portal.

Shortcodes

Drop these anywhere shortcodes are supported.

[dcgraph_portal_dashboard]

The full Dashboard — graph, search, category menu and feeds.

[dcgraph_article_widgets]

Breadcrumbs, table of contents, related articles and the floating graph.

Free vs PRO

Start free. Upgrade when you need more control.

Multilingual

One graph, every language

Run a multilingual site? Decomp Concept Graph integrates automatically with Polylang and WPML — the graph, search and texts all follow the active language. No translation plugin? It runs in monolingual mode with zero configuration.

Polylang and WPML are optional, and shouldn’t be used at the same time.

Polylang Automatic — graph & texts follow the language
WPML Automatic — graph & texts follow the language
Monolingual Works out of the box with neither installed
FAQ

Questions, answered

Do I need Polylang or WPML?

They are optional. With Polylang or WPML installed, multilingual support is automatic — the graph and texts follow the active language. Without them, the plugin runs in monolingual mode. Do not use both at the same time.

Where are favorites (My Vault) stored?

In user metadata, via secure AJAX with a nonce. It requires a logged-in user and the PRO version.

How do I connect two entries?

In an entry’s editor, check the related entries in the relationships metabox. The link is created bidirectionally — both entries reference each other automatically.

Does it load D3.js from a CDN?

No. D3.js (BSD-3-Clause, GPL-compatible) is bundled locally in the plugin, so there are no external requests.

What are the requirements?

WordPress 6.2 or later and PHP 7.4 or later. The plugin is licensed GPLv2 or later; PRO is sold via Freemius.
